Seriously, you want a KO move? Uptilt comes out scary fast and has nasty KO power. Have you heard the good news of UpTilt today? Please explain why you feel how you feel too as any insight would help. I am in no way a MegaMan expert so I ask the title question. Samus has the charge shot, Snake got his whole kit, Villager has his traps trees rockets and killing fairs, heck Duck Hunt has more stage control with that can.īUT that's just what I'M seeing. It's like he was catered to the playstyle of being a projectile character but doesn't get any way to really take advantage of that style or land any kills without some not insignificant risks, especially since everyone can now stop and turn around on a time. Heck even his godlike lemons had the caveat of just flat out getting busted by heavier characters that can shrug them off with even a little stale active. The fact alone that Opponents usually have to be close to 150% rather than the 120 that most others can reliably kill at and take risks to even land any of his killing moves since they all have some combo of either bad recovery or short range and it all just seems kinda weird. Mega on the other hand has 1 pretty versatile special in Metal Blade, a solid recovery move and relatively useless side and down specials, has 3 attacks dedicated to buster, and all his other attacks are either pretty short range, slow startup, long endlag, or relatively low kill power. It's kinda like his tool kit doesn't really seem to have any real cohesion to it.įor example I was playing vs a Snake and all of his moves seemed to mesh perfectly well together with the idea of "Make the opponent go to where he doesn't want to and blow him up for it" Grenades are great pressure and stage control and do pretty solid knockback, c4 is a literal death trap that they can use to control key parts of the stage, his down throw perfectly sets up for his fast, killing and pretty safe up-tilt or his f tilt and it all just works together so well. I've been messing around with MegaMan for a bit and although he does seem improved, he seems more like what Smash 4 MegaMan should have been rather than his Ultimate best self.
